From my stories
A few things people told me while I was reporting.
Sean Krofssik
I’m a staff reporter at the Hartford Courant. I live in the Waterbury area and I have a journalism degree from Southern Connecticut State University.
I got my start in 2004 writing sports for The Southington Citizen. That same year I joined the sports staff at the Record-Journal in Meriden, and I stayed there for 19 years, covering high school and community sports in Meriden, Wallingford, Southington and Cheshire.
In 2014 the Connecticut chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists gave me first place in sports news. I was also a studio guest on CPTV’s GameTime in 2016.
In 2024 I started freelancing for the Hartford Courant and later joined the staff. Now I cover breaking news, courts and public safety, along with a lot of stories about local businesses and the people who run them. Some of my stories also run on Yahoo News and MSN.
